Whatever the discipline, choosing a Master’s degree means choosing a specialisation correlating with a professional project and a profession that you would like to practise afterwards. A diploma is not a goal but a means to reach your goal. Ask yourself the following questions:

In the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine as well as in the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance, Master programmes are taught in English, for the most part. Some are bilingual French/English.

Graduates from the Master en Droit Bancaire et Financier Européen can pursue employment in the legal careers in the banking and financial sector (banks, financial service providers, regulatory bodies, etc.), the insurance sector or the fund industry. They can also find employment in law firms, European banking and financial institutions or national administrations. Gaining practical experience is a key component of LL.M. studies at the University of Luxembourg. The University will provide assistance to students to find an internship (9 ECTS), benefitting from a network of local partners. Diversity in the student body is an important characteristic of the SCALE programmes. Applicants are expected to have an aptitude for analytical thinking. They do not need to have an undergraduate degree in engineering. We invite students of all disciplines to apply. Beyond education, relevant work experience will weigh heavily in the admissions decision. In order to be eligible for the programme, the applicant needs to hold a Master’s equivalent degree, or a 4 or 5-year Bachelor’s degree (a minimum of 240 ECTS). Alternatively, candidates with a 3-year Bachelor degree (180 ECTS) might be admitted, if they have gained sufficient work experience that is deemed relevant and equivalent to the missing 60 ECTS. Tuition fees for the 2020/2021 academic year are €24,000. This includes teaching materials and accommodation in Boston/Cambridge during MIT Global SCALE exchange program.
